¿HOW DOES IT WORK?
Through our cloud based expert system our platform can be accessed from any location and at a very low cost. Users can connect local devices or gain connectivity to remote devices at other facilities. Access is immediate without typical delays of conventional health systems. This system will allow facilities to share experts, equipment, while improving patient outcomes esp. In areas where access to traditional health systems is difficult, expensive or non existent. Who we are?
Rafael Bueno, a “research oriented” ophthalmologist, and Alvaro Rios, a 100% “Geek” engineer, who have pooled their expertise to develop a connected diagnosis platform for diseases using innovative technologies. Rafael & Alvaro are working to disrupt illness by solving critical issues facing public health outcomes globally.
Rios and Bueno are building Medical High Tech (MHT) whose mission is to disrupt illness by disrupting the high cost of specialist diagnostics. Fast and affordable diagnostics means early and more affordable treatments to enable a new era in the therapeutic management and improved patients outcomes.

Screening of Diabetic Retinopathy – SDR
The first release of MHT technology is a system for “screening" of diabetic retinopathy. It is a low cost intelligent platform able to process and diagnose in real time. The MHT platform could be operated by any user, without the supervision of a specialist.
10%+ of the world’s population affected by diabetes, a pandemic which impacts up to 20% of the adult population (aged 40 to 80 years). The first release of the MHT system MHT`s system is designed to help this cohort.
At ARVO’15, Rios and Bueno presented to the scientific community their work “Screening of Diabetic Retinopathy: Our experience Using Telemedicine Method”. At this event, Rios & Bueno reaffirmed their mission to improve the quality of life for people on global scale.
To achieve its social mission MTH proposes distributing their technology through public and private medical institutions as well as pharmacies and other established medical channels to insure they can reach the entire population. The ultimate goal for MHT is to make its massive diagnostic platform affordably accessible to the entire global population. MHT seeks to improve access and outcomes for all stakeholders especially low-income stakeholders that rarely have access to medical care. MHT will reduce diagnosis costs and reduce financial pressures on local and regional health care systems. They believe reduced costs for specialist diagnosis will mitigate an increasing share of the financial burden facing all global medical providers significantly reducing the risk of financial collapse.
